past 3 years, and to this day only one other
person has had the pleasure of owning and working

This is Peter Nardi's updated version of the best selling Stealth Assassin.

Effect
The spectator signs a completely free choice of playing card, the magician says he will locate the card by feel alone. The card vanishes from the deck only to appear in a wallet that has been in full view at all times.
2) ANY CARD CALLED FOR
Effect
The magician makes a prediction by showing a folded card within a small wallet. He asks the spectator to name any card. The card is removed from the wallet to show that it is in fact the named card.
3) SIGNED BILL TO WALLET
Effect
A $1 bill is borrowed from and signed by the spectator. The magician takes it and folds it into 1/8ths. The bill vanishes and appears folded inside a wallet, which has been in full view at all times.
4) SIGNED COIN TO WALLET
Effect
The magician borrows a quarter; small stickers are placed on both sides. The spectator is asked to initial one side, and the magician initials the other. The coin is taken by the magician and immediately vanished. The coin is finally found in a wallet, which has been in full view.
5) MENTALIST ROUTINE WITH NAIL WRITER
Effect
The magician writes a prediction on a small piece of paper that is folded and placed in a wallet. The spectator is asked any question, from their PIN number to their date of birth, anything at all. The wallet is opened and the magician removes the paper. It is revealed that the magician has correctly predicted the answer to the question.

The performer takes out a small leather wallet and from it; he removes a poker-chip and four cards, each bearing the image of a well known movie-killer.
These are set out on the table and the performer then asks the spectator to imagine the following scene: All four of the killers are in a room, when all of a sudden the inevitable happens and gun shots are fired.
When the smoke clears only one man is left standing!
The survivor is the owner of the poker chip.
The spectator is asked to choose the killer he believes to be the owner of the chip, which is then placed onto the card bearing the image of the chosen survivor.
Amazingly the performer proves that the spectator's selection is the correct one!

The Horwitz Wallet will be available again in about two weeks. I have been trying for a long time to find another maker. No one seemed able to get it right until Tony Curtis came up with just the job and made for me in Thailand.. I have a quantity of the wallets but I am just finishing off a complete rewrite and re-design of the instruction booklet and packaging and I hope to have the artwork from my designer ready for printing during the coming week.
For those who don't know, the Horwitz Wallet enables the performer to perform a number of effects including the miracle card in wallet effect. What makes this wallet so different that all the changes and the tricky business all takes place when the SPECTATOR put the wallet in his own pocket. Everything is done openly and there is no palming involved. The wallet has inspired a number of effects many of which are in the book of instructions. There is a brilliant Just Chance with Bank Notes and Envelopes which are burnt. One of the best effects with the wallet baffled everyone when Basil first demonstrated it. A card is selected and signed and placed in the wallet and then put in a spectator's pocket. the spectator is then blindfolded The spectator is asked to hold his arm or hand over the pocket containing the wallet. The performer openly pickpockets the spectator and removes the signed card from the wallet and put the wallet back in the spectator's pocket.
The crunch is that the spectator has no idea how he has been pickpocketed until the performer shows that he now has the signed card and the spectator discovers to his amazement that the wallet in his pocket is completely empty. Be warned that this great effect requires two Horwitz Wallets.
Back in 1982 Basil Horwitz gave a special seminar on the wallet here at the IBM Convention which was held at my new home town of Brighton. The Seminar was unusual in that all participants had to be the owners of one of these wallets. At least fifty people turned up for what might well be described as the most exciting event of that IBM Convention.
