spectator to cut three 4-foot lengths
of rope from an ordinary hank of rope.
Two audience volunteers handle the
ropes several times, thus assuring the
audience that the three ropes ae just
what they appear to be.Yes,
unmistakably ordinary, separate, and
of equal length. The magician then
performs some initial basic magic with
the three ropes.Suddenly the three ropes become transformed to three unequal ropes. The magician then explains that he only made the ropes appear to be unequal. He lets the audience in on the simple 'secret' (don't worry, no real secrets are actually exposed)
No sooner does the audience finish chuckling at how easily it had been deceived, than the ropes are shown to be actually unequal. Yes, unmistakably separate and unequal.

A spectator is invited to listen to as many songs as they'd like from
your favorite playlist (a
folder that contains a compilation of 60-70 songs) on your iPod or
MP3 player. They are all different. The spectator is asked to scroll
through and randomly stop at any song in the playlist, while the iPod is
out of site—behind their back or under the table. They are now
encouraged to remove the
headphones and sing the tune in their mind. You can be in another
room as this happens. Now for the mind-blowing climax: You bring
your ear close to theirs. You explain that you are listening for the
beat and melody of the tune that is still reverberating off their
eardrums, and vibrating in their
head. To the absolute disbelief of the spectator, bit by bit you
start to hum the tune they are thinking of, and then suddenly you name
the selected song!

Conjunction is a remarkable effect with a very simple description. You take one of your business cards, give it a series of folds and tears, and in the process transform it into an impossible object: two unbroken cardboard rings that end up linked through one another.
So, you may ask, what sets Conjunction apart from the multitude of other effects that have bits of card linking together? Simple: You do it for real. The rings are given away in their genuinely linked state, from which they can't be unlinked without ripping them. They can be examined indefinitely with no danger of anyone finding any seams, joins or tears, because there aren't any. Furthermore, no glue, tape, or adhesive of any kind is used. Only one card is involved, with no gaffs, gimmicks or extra pieces, and nothing to ring in, ditch or switch. And naturally, if you've set it up correctly, the rings will still have your name and contact information on them, intact, at the end.

A spectator cuts an invisible deck of cards. He tells you how many cards he cut off the deck. You remove a business card and a playing card from your wallet.
